You Spin Me Right Round

Paston Mill is situated just outside Mundesley, Norfolk and is a prime example of a well looked after Mill.  I happened to visit one summer evening to avoid my usual dealings with tourists mooching about making a nuisance of themselves and also because the silhouette of the mill on top of a sunset sky was just too tempting.  Thats not to say that people didnt from time to time still turn up to take pictures.  I was surprised to get funny looks from some of them as if i was doing my backround work before the big heist of the whole mill, taking it piece by piece starting with one of the giant paddles strapped to the roof of my car as of course that wouldnt look inconspicuous!  Anyway, the mill is situated on top of a hill so the view over the surrounding fields offers that little bit more.

Felbrigg Hall,Home of the cows!

I've taken numerous trips to Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk as its vast grounds provide plenty for the keen photographer.  It's situated just outside of Cromer, Norfolk and is popular with tourists and locals alike.  Each time i've been tho, there always seems to be herds of cows everywhere like squatters, tho there are no burning tyres in sight.  Instead you find yourself dodging a sea of cowpats, hunting for the one patch of clean grass.  Anyone watching from distance would think you were practising for the hop, skip and jump at the next Olympic games.  Still, these flatulent creatures provide very photogenic and add that little bit more to a picture.

Early morning, Bodies warning!

One of the hardest things for me with my photography is doing an early morning shoot. Hearing the alarm ringing in your ear at some ungodly hour, knowing that getting up when it’s still dark is self inflicted. As I drive to my destination my body wonders what it did wrong to be wrenched from bed this early but as I pull up and take that first deep breathe of crisp air as I get out of the car I realize why I do it. It’s that calmness and the feeling of the world slowly waking in front of my eyes. One of my favorite places for early mornings is Mundesley, Norfolk. To walk along the beach with not a soul in sight and just the sound of the waves crashing is an amazing feeling. I like to get as close as I can to the sea when taking shots but this is like poking an animal with a stick. You can tempt fate but sooner or later it will get you and in this case you end up with two very wet feet.Im always surprised by how quickly the sky can go from a dark grey to being awash with colour and you just never know what your get each time you do a sunrise. These are a few of the photos taken down Mundesley at sunrise and some during the day too.
