Fungus Fantastic!

I always love visiting woodlands in the autumn as it just explodes into a warmth of colour.Ive been around Bacton woods a few times over the years and at this time of year it never disappoints.Sometimes tho,its not about looking at the big picture but instead the small details. For instance,i was setting up a shot along a path and so got down low to get a different angle but whilst down there, noticed the mushrooms that you see and in the end they became my main focus points for the shoot.Im a big fan of macro photography and it was nice to be able to capture such a colourful and magical scene. The only downside was very dirty trousers from getting down amongst the action but its all worth it when you see the finished results!

Autumn In Bacton Woods

After a very brief visit to Bacton woods,Norfolk the other week in which bitter cold conditions and hail stones had cut short my trip, i had been eager to get back there before the wash of oranges, reds and yellows had turned to stark blacks and browns and these were some of the pictures i managed to come away with.Coupled with a lovely soft and hazy late afternoon sun, these were a few of the photo's i was lucky to take.
